The Wolf Creek Penny Wars contest was held at the end of last term to raise funds for Water.org an organization seeking a day when everyone in the world can take a safe drink of water. Can you imagine your life without safe water? Students were divided into teams by their learning managers and spent the next two weeks bringing in handfuls of coins. Pennies counted as positive points and anything other than a penny counted as negative points. The winners of this year’s Penny Wars went to Sandy Flint’s students with a total of $4.66. They will celebrate their victory with a pizza party. Our grand total raised was $98.47 and additional donations were added to bring this up to $100 reaching our goal. Special thanks to all students who participated. Our money will bring 4 people clean and safe drinking water for life! To learn more about the organization visit water.org.
