Holiday Cards for Troops

The Wolf Creek Council and National Honor Society organized a holiday card making event for current military service members, military families, and veterans. The cards provide a special piece of “home” for troops during the holiday season. The American Red Cross distributes these cards to hospitals and installments all around the world. Students enjoyed writing special messages of thanks and appreciation, as well as, decorating the cards.

Wolf Creek On the News

Here are some great pictures from the state hockey tournament where Wolf Creek was invited to accept a check awarded from the Toyota Drive for Education Grant.  Accepting the award on behalf of the school were faculty members Brenda Swanson and Sean Miller.
Swanson stated, "We are very excited to be recognized by Toyota for this great honor.  We know the money will be put to good use at Wolf Creek and will help students with the important 21st century skills of video production."

With the money awarded the school will purchase equipment for video production  that will be available for all students on campus.

This list included the National Guards, The US Navy, MN School of Business, Pine Technical College, The Art Institute, North Central University, Century College, ,MN Business College, MN School of Cosmetology, and guest speaker Hanna Rivard from Thousand Dollar Hour.
On the opposite side of the building was vision screening, hearing screening, blood pressure check, Public Health, Substance Prevention, Outlook Clinic, Refuge Network, Youth Service Bureau, nutrition, mental health resources, and a visit from a local officer who demoed Fatal Vision Goggles to see how the effect of alcohol impairs your vision.
This event was a huge success and provided a lot of information to the students in attendance.
